The Center for Tobacco Policy & Organizing was founded by the American Lung Association in California in 2002 to ensure local advocates across California have the skills, resources and information to be successful in protecting their neighbors and communities from the harmful effects of tobacco use. For more than 15 years, the Center has brought together tobacco control policy expertise, campaign consulting proficiency and community organizing skills to help provide California’s tobacco control movement with resources, tools and effective strategies to build political capital and achieve policy success.
